(More customer reviews)A lot of scales out there claim to weigh up to 400 lb or so. The problem is that a lot of them are wildly inaccurate when you get close to the max weight. I bought a different scale off of amazon and, even though the display went that high, I would get results all over the map. This one is nice and stable even for a big guy like me (390 lb)
The reason I went to this scale was that it was the same scale my doctor had in his exam room. I assumed, at first, that it was probably some special unit that doctors order from a medical supply catalog. After a few crappy scales and getting sick of going to the local pharmacy to weigh myself, I decided to call my doctor's office and get the scale's model number. Lo and behold, it costs as much as the scales I found in the store. It's awesome.
If you're trying to lose weight, the best thing you can do for yourself is to chart your progress and goals. Make sense of the small changes you make and what they can mean for your health if you stick with it. All that starts with an accurate scale.
