They're pleased at how precise the weight is, to the tenth of a pound, and that they don't have to ask anyone who happens to visit to read their scale for them. The voice is clear and loud enough, automatically turns on and shuts off, and batteries were included. There's even a setting for weighing in kilograms if you want to go metric. There was a statement in the directions about people with pacemakers using this product. I checked with my grandmother's heart doctor and he said there wouldn't be a problem considering where feet are in relation to the heart, the encasement of the pacemaker, and lenghth of exposure, but checking with your doctor would always be advisable in anyone's case.
